About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support portfolio-level performance analysis, valuation work, business plan tracking, and strategic asset reviews
- Prepare quarterly reports, portfolio dashboards, performance summaries, and ad hoc analyses for investors and internal stakeholders
- Support capital raising through investor materials, portfolio analytics, track record support, and diligence response materials
- Collaborate with acquisitions, asset management, leasing, property management, operations, finance, and accounting teams
- Evaluate new investment opportunities and manage the acquisition pipeline from initial screening through closing
- Source marketed and off-market opportunities through broker and owner relationships, industry events, and direct outreach
- Lead market and property research, underwriting, financial modeling, deal structuring, financing coordination, due diligence, and transaction execution
- Review and assess diligence materials to identify risks, validate underwriting, and support investment decisions
- Review and negotiate transaction and operating documents, including LOIs, PSAs, leases, loan agreements, and management agreements
- Prepare investment committee memoranda, valuation analyses, and decision-support materials for senior leadership
- Travel periodically for sourcing, diligence, asset review, and transaction execution
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 3 years of successful track managing, underwriting, and closing retail real estate
- High proficiency with Argus Enterprise, Yardi, and Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint/Word
- Strong financial modeling, analytical skills, and critical thinking
- Strong retail real estate industry network including brokers, owners, investors, lenders, and others
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, real estate, economics, or another related field
- MBA is a plus
- Ability to thrive and lead in a fast-paced environment while working on multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work extended hours when required
- Ability to move with a sense of urgency
- Demonstrated record of leadership and effective project management skills
- Demonstrated experience managing client/investor, seller, broker, and lender relationships
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Interest in helping to grow an entrepreneurial business significantly
- Strong presentation skills
