About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the key contact for assigned accounts within a territory
  • Provide tactical sales direction and communication strategies to defend existing business and gain new business
  • Implement business and marketing plans for assigned accounts with stakeholders
  • Grow assigned territory and share of wallet
  • Deliver sales goals, including profitable year-over-year growth
  • Leverage knowledge of Amcor, products, industry, and competitive market
  • Increase business through prospecting and networking
  • Manage account complexities and communicate customer needs internally
  • Orchestrate and support key business negotiations
  • Build trusted customer relationships and cross-functional relationships with leadership, marketing, R&D, and other stakeholders
  • Support commercialization and onboarding processes
  • Network with co-packers, machine suppliers, OEMs, and industry associations
  • Coordinate Sales Management, R&D, Marketing, and Field Service for validation and customer trials
  • Manage accounts receivable with assistance from the credit department
  • Identify actions to meet strategic unmet customer needs
  • Collaborate cross-functionally on market and segment strategy implementation
  • Report sales and marketing performance for monthly management reporting
  • Drive forecast accuracy
  • Communicate competitive, marketing, pricing, and product-performance intelligence
  • Manage account planning, pipeline management, profitability improvements, and churn management in CRM

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years' relevant experience in technical, sales and general management, preferably within the packaging industry
  • Experience in working in a large scale business-to-business environment
  • Proven track record of successful sales growth and profitability
  • Experience with negotiations
  • Ability to travel domestically & internationally 60% of time
  • Employment authorization in the United States is verified through E-Verify
