About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive the development and implementation of EHS training and development, focusing on continuously improving co-worker knowledge and know-how
  • Manage and continuously improve the effectiveness of all EHS committee forums on site
  • Support the EHS Manager in reviewing investments and machinery with Project, Maintenance and Operations Managers
  • Establish strong relationships with the production floor, Safety and Union Representatives to ensure a proactive Safety Culture
  • Maintain and improve Amcor Standards to comply with Amcor Key Priorities
  • Support regulatory and Amcor systems and processes, including reporting, internal and external audits, and customer audit processes
  • Implement EHS systems and processes into the site's Integrated Management System and ensure compliance
  • Develop, deliver, and maintain EHS awareness and development programmes from induction through senior management development
  • Develop and manage an effective behavioural safety system
  • Manage, deliver, and report site safety KPIs
  • Lead site and key projects to ensure compliance with change management programmes
  • Review, develop, and implement EHS administration processes
  • Consult and support departments regarding Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental provisions
  • Support delivery of the Strategic Safety Plan
  • Complete monthly KPI, Environmental, and CCA reporting

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • In depth and broad practical experience of Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental
  • Good IT Skills
  • Well-developed communication and presentation skills, both verbal and in writing, with the ability to present with ease to all levels
  • The capability to work through people whilst achieving the highest standards
  • The ability to inspire confidence and gain the commitment of all levels of co-worker
