About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide project management and technical guidance related to electrical safety, procedures, maintenance standardization, electrical engineering, and efficient operations
- Support facility electrical infrastructure systems to reduce safety-event risk
- Respond to emergencies or potential emergencies following established procedures
- Observe, respond to, and report process or product non-conformity
- Maintain security diligence over key cards, facility access, and Amcor equipment
- Oversee the Corporate Electrical Safety Program, including arc flash compliance, electrical system risk, mitigation plans, and training programs
- Lead Arc Flash Programs in the US and Europe across 180+ sites
- Maintain, review, and revise the Corporate Facility Required electrical PM program
- Serve as technical leader and mentor for electrical systems, energy management, and regulatory requirements
- Review site metrics and cost information to prioritize improvement opportunities
- Establish plant electrical-system guidelines and promote corporate best practices
- Evaluate plants and facilities for safe and efficient operations
- Specify, recommend, and review power systems studies; liaise between suppliers and plants
- Evaluate facilities and expansion projects to define electrical-improvement scope and initial budgets
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Proven ability to run complex programs or projects that span several sites simultaneously
- Knowledge of NFPA and IEEE electrical standards
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet timelines
- At least 5 years of experience in electrical safety, power distribution engineering, or project management role
- Ability to travel as necessary
- Up to 15% travel is expected
