About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Join Amcor’s Oshkosh production plants in an entry-level manufacturing role
Work day or night shifts on a 2-2-3 12-hour schedule, with every other weekend off
Make sure plates returned to the making/mounting area are clean, including cleaning plate cylinders
Maintain the gear-up room and place gears in their proper location
Understand and operate the computer system for distillation-to-washing-machine parts
Assist press crews by cleaning decks, changing cylinders, and completing other tasks to return presses to production
Complete job check-off sheets, cleaning logs, and other documentation
Work on presses as workloads and schedules dictate
Check with supervisors to identify where assistance is needed
Wrap, label, and palletize finished slit rolls according to customer requests
Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and tilt locks safely and efficiently
Clean the compactor room, empty dumpsters, sweep, and perform housekeeping duties
Load pallets with film and place them on a pallet lift
Load film onto a stretch wrapper, label, and remove wrapped pallets
Perform other duties assigned by management and supervisors

Requirements

What you’ll need

Previous manufacturing experience a plus, not required
Knowledgeable and able to understand a computer and programs
Possess adequate math, measurement, and reading skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Good organizational and interpersonal skills
Required to have visual acuity to perform visual inspection, including the use of measurement devices, and ability to identify and distinguish colors
Ability to interact effectively and professionally with others in a team environment
Ability to lift up to 50-60 lbs
Willing and able to stand and walk for a 12-hour shift
Frequent reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, and twisting
Frequent use of wrist and hands
Frequent stepping up and down from platforms
Ability to work day or night shifts on a 2-2-3 12-hour shift schedule
Ability to work 3 or 4 days per week
Ability to follow safety procedures and customer specifications
