About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maintain site processing equipment effectively and efficiently.
  • Work closely with Production teams to minimise downtime and maximise reliability.
  • Carry out planned and preventative maintenance on machinery and factory infrastructure.
  • Attend equipment breakdowns and carry out repairs.
  • Carry out refurbishment works arising from breakdowns or maintenance inspections.
  • Prioritise personal workload according to operational requirements.
  • Support Engineering Project functions with handover and commissioning of capital projects.
  • Complete daily timesheets and maintain records.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Time-served with maintenance experience in an automated manufacturing environment; HNC or equivalent is preferred.
  • Good understanding of Safe Working systems and policies, including SWP and LOTO.
  • Able to work under pressure in a fast-moving environment.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills in equipment maintenance.
  • Experience working under ATEX and DSEAR regulations would be beneficial.
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing would be advantageous.
  • Self-driven and motivated, working to high standards of engineering, quality, safety and hygiene.
  • Good teamwork and communication skills.
  • Full-time employee role based in Cumbria, GB.
