About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Act as a close business partner to the Business Unit General Manager and executive team
- Ensure optimization of financial performance and develop BU strategy
- Lead the BU finance function and ensure delivery of G&A overhead functions
- Support BU strategy setting and monitor implementation, including footprint optimization and profitability analysis
- Drive best practices in working capital and capital expenditures
- Challenge operations on cost improvement and ensure cost control
- Manage Finance activities within Amcor programs
- Support net sales growth through performance-driving analysis
- Leverage best practices and synergies across plants
- Ensure delivery of IT, overhead cross-charging, and procurement functions
- Participate in BU strategy work, monthly management reporting, and key projects
- Establish and refine strategic planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes
- Review and challenge financial plans and projections
- Provide accurate financial statements, BU financial-position reports, variance analysis, and statutory reports
- Lead governance, internal controls, financial policy, delegated-authority transactions, and audit activities
- Resolve internal and external audit issues and ensure regulatory compliance
- Lead, coach, mentor, and develop Finance personnel
- Develop succession plans and communicate Amcor values and leadership competencies
- Provide leadership for future acquisitions, partnerships, divestures, synergies, and restructuring
- Ensure Product Safety Program, FSMS reporting, and workplace health, safety, and environmental compliance
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or Finance
- CPA
- At least 10 years’ experience in finance and accounting
- Several years’ management experience leading the finance department in a reputable MNC
- Experience in a public accounting firm is a plus
- Sound knowledge of IFRS and controls
- Experience in tax and treasury would be an advantage
- Self-motivated and self-driven
- Good English language communication skills
- Knowledge of flexible packaging company would be an advantage
