About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage the end-to-end supply chain process from material planning through production planning
- Develop and maintain material forecasts and requirements plans based on production schedules and historical consumption
- Monitor inventory levels and implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and excess stock
- Coordinate with Procurement, Production, and Logistics teams to ensure timely material availability
- Analyze material requirements and lead times to support production planning and scheduling
- Prepare purchase requisitions and manage supplier material orders
- Track and reconcile inventory movements, conduct stock audits, and investigate discrepancies
- Use planning systems and software to generate reports, forecasts, and KPIs for management review
- Identify process improvements to increase planning efficiency and reduce operational costs
- Respond to urgent material requirements and manage expedited orders
- Develop daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on forecasts and customer orders
- Prioritize production according to delivery deadlines and urgency
- Sequence production to minimize machine setup and changeover time
- Adjust production schedules based on machine capacity and manpower availability
