About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform quality control of raw materials, supplies and finished products
  • Carry out inspections, testing and measurements in accordance with applicable control plans, methods and specifications
  • Record, assess and communicate analysis results, ensuring data integrity, traceability and communication of deviations
  • Identify, block, segregate and control non-conforming materials or products
  • Monitor holds, sorting activities, releases and inventories
  • Monitor process stability and capability using SPC and Cpk
  • Control measuring instruments and measurement systems, including verification, calibration, identification, segregation and R&R studies
  • Keep quality records, specifications, certificates and applicable documentation up to date
  • Participate in investigations of nonconformities, root-cause analyses, action plans, testing, approvals, machine launches, and the development of materials or suppliers
  • Promote a culture of quality, safety, environmental responsibility and food safety through guidance, training and coaching
  • Support audits, traceability exercises, mock recalls and technical visits

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Completed technical qualification
  • Preferred: Technical qualification in Chemistry or Plastics
  • Active registration with the CRQ (Regional Council of Chemistry)
  • Knowledge of inspections, testing and measurements for raw materials, materials, work-in-process products and finished products
  • Knowledge of applicable control plans, methods and specifications
  • Knowledge of SPC and Cpk tools
  • Knowledge of the control, verification and calibration of instruments and measurement systems
  • Knowledge of R&R studies
  • Knowledge of traceability and document compliance
  • Knowledge of nonconformity investigation and continuous improvement
  • Knowledge of GMP, HACCP and 5S
