About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support plant engineering projects and manage corporate programs related to building systems, infrastructure, and operational improvement
  • Work across multiple locations with cross-functional teams to develop and execute safe, efficient, and effective project solutions
  • Maintain awareness of facility systems and follow safety and security procedures
  • Respond to emergencies and report process or product non-conformity
  • Own projects at multiple sites from start to finish, with projects periodically exceeding $1MM
  • Present major projects to senior and business group leadership
  • Plan and manage capital projects or support plant personnel
  • Establish plant-system guidelines for maintenance and safety standards
  • Report and implement corporate best practices across facilities
  • Communicate best practices and lead technical-team training at site level
  • Identify and drive utility cost-reduction and efficiency opportunities, with annual savings and avoidance targets exceeding $750K
  • Evaluate OEM vendors and build strategic relationships
  • Support equipment moves, plant consolidations, and expansions
  • Evaluate plants during site visits and troubleshoot infrastructure-system issues
  • Assess facilities or planned expansions to establish initial project budgets
  • Provide infrastructure project priorities across business units

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience required
  • Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering preferred
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Proven ability to conceptualize, design, lead, and manage projects
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
  • 2D CAD experience preferred
  • Foundational business acumen and understanding of capex vs. opex preferred
  • Two of three required: minimum 7 years of experience; experience leading people daily through direct or indirect management; experience running at least 3 projects in excess of $1MM
