About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deliver budgeted sales and profit objectives by leading growth-centric relationships with existing and targeted customers
  • Own and quarterback Amcor’s cross-functional, value-based relationships with customers in the assigned area
  • Coordinate, manage and guide commercial team performance in the Closures, Bottles, & Specialties market
  • Lead and execute the U.S. commercial strategy for the segment
  • Identify and activate new revenue streams, emerging market opportunities, and competitive advantages
  • Drive sales performance through new customer acquisition, existing-account expansion, and churn reduction
  • Represent Amcor at regional and national industry trade shows
  • Build and maintain relationships with key customers, prospects, and equipment partners
  • Serve as escalation point for high-value or strategic accounts and resolve channel conflicts
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members
  • Provide strategic support during complex negotiations and customer engagements
  • Negotiate customer contract agreements with Sales Operations, Contracts, and Legal teams
  • Oversee sales pipeline progression and CRM tracking
  • Optimize sales processes to accelerate sales cycles and improve win rates
  • Collaborate with Product Line Management, Product Development, and Customer Care on go-to-market alignment
  • Provide sales forecasts and reports on sales performance, pipeline health, and revenue goals to Senior Leadership
  • Analyze market trends, identify risks, and implement corrective actions
  • Monitor industry trends, competitors, and market developments

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or applicable technical field
  • 10 years of progressive sales experience in packaging industry and technology (e.g. injection molding, extrusion, etc.)
  • 5-7 years of Sales Management experience, including direct leadership of multi-level commercial teams and responsibility for regional or national revenue performance
  • Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional commercial initiatives and managing high-value customer portfolios
