About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Administer and maintain Altruistiq (AQ), Amcor's primary sustainability data platform, including user management, data validation, and platform configuration
- Conduct quarterly data validation cycles, investigate variances, correct data, and upload invoices
- Deliver completion reports and reminder communications to drive on-time site submissions
- Review site-level data methodology templates for alignment with reporting standards and business changes
- Train platform users and facilitate office hours for manufacturing-site troubleshooting and process questions
- Support Scope 3 GHG reporting through production and transportation data collection and validation
- Coordinate sustainability targets and reporting to Amcor Limited in accordance with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol
- Develop, maintain, and refine sustainability dashboards and reporting tools for PCR, recyclability, and transportation
- Streamline and automate data pulls and improve data collection, assurance protocols, and analytical insights
- Collect and validate packaging and component data across product lines and maintain datasets spanning SKUs, customers, and products
- Perform data quality checks and resolve outliers, inconsistencies, and duplicates
- Document analysis methodologies and assumptions for transparency, reproducibility, and audit readiness
- Conduct Life Cycle Assessments and present findings at conferences, trade expos, and customer engagements
- Support customer meetings concerning LCA methodology, carbon reduction roadmaps, and sustainability commitments
- Manage EPR reporting obligations and support customers with external EPR reporting requirements
- Translate product specifications into structured data for regulatory reporting and compliance
- Administer Sedex ethical responsibility reporting across manufacturing sites and support audit preparation
- Support internal and external audits, including Intertek audits
- Lead recyclability reporting and contribute to year-end sustainability reporting, partnerships, and the Annual Sustainability Report
- Coordinate QSR reporting and support corporate sustainability disclosures
- Research market trends, competitive activity, customer insights, and emerging technologies
- Maintain databases covering competitors, customers, market trends, packaging technologies, and commercial insights
- Support strategic planning, M&A, and business development initiatives through research and analysis
- Investigate packaging technologies, manufacturing processes, and sustainability innovations for growth opportunities
- Support marketing materials, customer presentations, sales collateral, press releases, and product launch communications
- Support customer meetings with sustainability data, market insights, competitive intelligence, and technical information
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business, Marketing or a related field
- 2–5 years of experience in sustainability, environmental management, market research, marketing/business analytics, or a related analytical role
- Demonstrated experience with sustainability data platforms and GHG reporting frameworks (e.g., GHG Protocol, Scope 1/2/3)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data management skills with high level of attention to detail
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences
- Experience managing large datasets and translating data into business insights
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and build strong internal and external relationships
- Experience with Altruistiq, Sedex, or similar sustainability/ESG platforms preferred
- Familiarity with Life Cycle Assessment methodology and tools preferred
- Knowledge of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) regulations preferred
- Experience supporting third-party audits preferred
- Experience with business intelligence or data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) preferred
- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems preferred
- Knowledge of the packaging, plastics, or manufacturing industry preferred
- Ability to meet the listed physical requirements, including lifting and carrying 50+ pounds and operating a forklift and automobile/truck/van
