Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Good, accredited MEng degree in Civil Engineering or similar
  • Demonstrable experience in civil and structural design
  • Ability to apply British Standards and Eurocodes effectively in practice
  • Proven experience in ports, maritime, or related heavy civil engineering sectors
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience in technical delivery and supporting project outcomes across scope, programme, and budget
  • Proactive and organised approach
  • Commitment to health, safety, quality, and continuous improvement
  • Experience in mentoring and supporting the development of others
  • Familiarity with PIANC and OCIMF guidance
  • Experience in structural dynamics concepts and practical application
  • Awareness of or experience with Information Management systems
  • Exposure to finite element structural analysis software such as STAAD.Pro or SAP2000
  • Understanding of geotechnical principles and exposure to WALLAP and PLAXIS
  • Awareness of NEC3/4 ECC contracts and their application
