About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop custom electrical and controls design solutions within a multidisciplinary project team
  • Design control cabinets and hardware
  • Develop wiring diagrams
  • Create 3D models of conduit and instruments
  • Support other electrical and controls-related designs
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to meet customer requirements
  • Work on projects including wind tunnel equipment, rocket and jet engine test stands, automotive test cells, and other unique test facilities and systems

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • US citizenship is required to comply with government customer requirements and/or applicable government regulations
  • Technical school training certification or one (1) year of college with coursework relevant to drafting or engineering principles, plus a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience; additional relevant education or work experience may be substituted for the required experience
  • Demonstrated experience using 2D and 3D CAD software (Autodesk Electrical preferred)
  • Knowledge of electrical and hardware components, including I/O modules, terminal blocks, control cabinets, and wiring diagrams
  • Ability to work mainly in an inside-office environment
  • Some travel may be required (5-10%)
