About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server environments, including Windows Server 2022 and Windows Server 2025
Perform operating system and application maintenance, account and access management, patching, vulnerability remediation, STIG compliance, configuration management, and general systems administration
Support virtualized, hybrid-cloud, and SaaS environments, including tenant administration, identity and access management, service configuration, monitoring, incident response, and vendor coordination
Deploy, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot containerized applications using approved container technologies and registries
Support Kubernetes-based platforms and workloads, including deployments, namespaces, role-based access control, configuration and secret management, monitoring, troubleshooting, and patching
Support Windows and Linux container workloads according to approved security, operational, and availability requirements
Assist with automation and repeatable deployment processes using PowerShell, Desired State Configuration, Ansible, Terraform, or equivalent tools
Perform daily monitoring of system, application, container, and infrastructure availability, integrity, performance, and security posture
Respond to incidents, service requests, and user-support requirements across multiple platforms; document troubleshooting, corrective actions, and lessons learned
Maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, configuration baselines, system diagrams, and recovery procedures
Coordinate with cybersecurity, network, cloud, application-development, and service-delivery teams
Participate in maintenance windows and provide occasional after-hours support
Perform other duties supporting the Service Delivery Team

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must have 1 or more year of directly related experience
Experience administering and maintaining Microsoft Windows Server environments, preferably including Windows Server 2022 and/or Windows Server 2025
Experience implementing defined cybersecurity controls, vulnerability remediation, system hardening, and STIG compliance activities
Familiarity with Kubernetes concepts, including deployments, services, namespaces, role-based access control, configuration management, monitoring, and troubleshooting
Familiarity with cloud-hosted or SaaS applications, including service monitoring, tenant administration, access management, and incident coordination
Experience supporting Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or hybrid-cloud environments
Experience with scripting and automation, preferably PowerShell; familiarity with Python, Bash, Ansible, Terraform, or equivalent tools
Experience establishing, maintaining, and following documented technical processes and procedures
Approved DoD 8570/8140-aligned Level II certification, such as CompTIA Security+ CE or higher, as required by the contract
Active DoW Secret Security Clearance
Strong troubleshooting, technical documentation, customer-support, communication, and teamwork skills
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and learn emerging technologies
Relevant technical certifications in Microsoft Windows Server, Azure, AWS, Kubernetes, containers, virtualization, or automation (desired)
Experience with BMC Helix/Remedy or comparable IT service-management tools (desired)
Experience administering or supporting Kubernetes platforms such as Azure Kubernetes Service, Red Hat OpenShift, Rancher, or comparable enterprise Kubernetes distributions (desired)
Experience supporting Windows and/or Linux containers in enterprise environments (desired)
Experience supporting Infrastructure as Code, configuration management, automated deployments, CI/CD pipelines, source control, or artifact repositories (desired)
Experience administering or supporting Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, or comparable enterprise SaaS platforms (desired)
