About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the Missile Defense Agency on the IRES contract
  • Partner with the Release Train Engineer to define, mature, and align the Scrum Master role with SAFe frameworks and Agile release trains
  • Design, implement, and train IT teams on customized Agile processes
  • Establish a cohesive one-team dynamic across Huntsville and Colorado Springs using virtual collaboration tools
  • Facilitate an Agile battle rhythm for IT and infrastructure teams
  • Guide and coach teams and organizations on Agile/Scrum practices
  • Assist the Product Owner and Technical Leads with backlog maintenance, prioritization, and user stories
  • Document planning data in the system of record for reporting and metrics
  • Deliver weekly metrics to the Release Train Engineer
  • Identify, track, and resolve impediments and blockers
  • Manage team capacity, sprint velocity, and burn-down charts using Agile lifecycle management tools
  • Facilitate cross-team coordination and dependency management for enterprise upgrades and break/fix activities
  • Integrate IT service delivery and cybersecurity compliance tasks into Agile workflows
  • Foster continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4 or more years of general full-time work experience; may be reduced with completion of advanced education
  • 2 or more years of directly related experience acting as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or Project Manager
  • Current Agile certification, such as CSM, PSM I, or SSM
  • Experience using Agile management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps
  • Experience applying Agile methodologies to IT operations
  • Active DoW Secret Security Clearance
  • Ability to obtain an active DoW Top Secret Security Clearance
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum practices within a technical team is desired
  • Experience with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), particularly in a DoD or government contracting environment, is desired
  • Technical background or previous experience in System Administration, Network Engineering, or IT Service Management is desired
  • Experience integrating ITIL methodologies with Agile processes is desired
  • Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification, such as Security+ CE, is desired
  • Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity processes, including RMF, Secure Host Baselines, and DISA STIGs, is desired
  • Advanced Agile certifications are desired
  • Resume in month and year format must be submitted with the application
  • Ability to work day shift and travel up to 10% of the time
