About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the Missile Defense Agency on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions contract
  • Migrate functions and networks to private, public, and hybrid cloud infrastructures
  • Design, plan, and implement client-specific cloud solutions
  • Identify appropriate cloud providers
  • Size and scale cloud networks and services to meet user and business demands
  • Liaise with business owners and stakeholders to determine growth plans
  • Monitor cloud network usage
  • Implement security strategies on cloud networks
  • Implement fault tolerance, disaster recovery, and failover capabilities
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and guidelines
  • Build infrastructure automation for rapid delivery of system and application updates
  • Conduct testing and fine-tuning for optimal efficiency
  • Provide architectural vision, strategy, and roadmap
  • Work with Engineers and Platform Operations staff to operationalize technology solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 1 or more years of directly related experience
  • Understanding of cloud delivery models (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS)
  • Experience with enterprise server operating systems/environments, such as RHEL 7/8 and/or Windows Server 2019 or higher
  • Experience implementing cybersecurity best practices
  • DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II Certification
  • Active DoW Secret Security Clearance
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Resume submitted in month and year format
  • AZURE, AWS, and/or Cloud Certified Solution Architect Certification
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or Math
