About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the Missile Defense Agency on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract
- Assist with Cisco IOS router and switch upgrades, rollbacks, and troubleshooting
- Assist in configuring and troubleshooting routers, switches, and firewalls
- Help monitor network performance, bandwidth utilization, and system alerts
- Perform physical device installations, cable patching, and server rack diagram audits
- Document network topology maps, IP address allocations, and inventory lists
Requirements
What you’ll need- 1 or more years of general full-time work experience; may be reduced with completion of advanced education
- Recent graduate or currently enrolled in an accredited associate or bachelor’s degree program in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline, with at least sophomore-level standing
- Basic understanding of TCP/IP protocols, subnetting, DNS/DHCP, and the OSI model
- Academic or lab exposure to the Cisco Command Line Interface (CLI), including basic router/switch configuration concepts
- Ability and willingness to work scheduled evening maintenance windows supporting live network operations and changes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to document technical steps and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Current DoW IAT Level II certification, such as CompTIA Security+ CE, or equivalent foundational cybersecurity knowledge
- Active DoW Secret Security Clearance, or ability to obtain one
