Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as technical authority for cross-domain integration, cohesion, and delivery of the NGE digital platform ecosystem supporting the Missile Defense Agency
Act as primary technical interface between Government NGE Leadership and the multi-contractor engineering consortium
Translate mission capabilities and architectural roadmaps into platform integration requirements, technical trade studies, and executive briefings
Present platform capabilities, integration risks, and baseline delivery strategies to senior DoD civilian and military leadership
Integrate platforms across teammate companies, external performer teams, and engineering disciplines
Chair cross-functional integration meetings, resolve technical dependencies, and harmonize platform interfaces across work packages
Lead engineering alignment workshops and facilitate technical exchange meetings
Align platform architecture with MBSE baselines and maintain requirements traceability
Synchronize infrastructure engineering designs with physical and logical data models
Integrate hybrid compute and container runtime environments across VMware VCF, OpenShift, Kubernetes/RKE2, AWS, and Azure IL5/IL6
Oversee RHEL and Windows Server integrations across virtualized, bare-metal, and cloud-hosted architectures
Establish continuous delivery baselines with DevSecOps and automation teams
Ensure Terraform, Ansible, configuration drift remediation, and CI/CD pipelines align with platform integration standards
Champion infrastructure-as-code configuration and validation patterns
Ensure platform integration aligns with DoW Zero Trust Architecture, NIST SP 800-53, and DISA STIGs
Coordinate system hardening and continuous ATO data artifact generation
Incorporate identity-centric boundaries, RBAC, and Certificate Authority/PKI configurations into integrated platform designs

Requirements

What you’ll need

10 or more years of general full-time work experience; may be reduced with completion of advanced education
5 or more years in a senior systems engineering, solution architecture, or technical integration role
1 or more years of experience working in a management or leadership role
3 or more years interfacing directly with senior Government/DoW leadership, facilitating technical exchange meetings (TEMs), and orchestrating multi-stakeholder planning events
Proven experience integrating multi-tier enterprise systems spanning hybrid cloud, virtualization, container platforms, and data layer technologies
Demonstrated experience with VMware VCF, Linux (RHEL 9), and container environments including OpenShift, Kubernetes, and RKE2
Demonstrated experience with REST APIs, enterprise database platforms including Cassandra, SQL Server, and Oracle, and publish/subscribe messaging systems including RabbitMQ
Demonstrated experience with Systems Engineering/MBSE tools including Cameo, SysML, or IBM DOORS/DOORS Next Generation
Current DoW 8140/8570 IAT Level II or higher certification, such as Security+ CE, CySA+, CASP+ CE, or CISSP
Active DoW Secret security clearance with verified eligibility to obtain a Top Secret clearance, or active Top Secret clearance
Resume submitted in month and year format with application
Direct MDA, IRES contract, or joint multi-performer defense program experience preferred
SAFe/Agile experience in large-scale defense acquisition environments preferred
Professional certifications such as CISSP, ITIL Foundation, AWS/Azure Solutions Architect, Red Hat Certified Specialist/OpenShift, or INCOSE ASEP/CSEP preferred
