About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee product development from development through operational deployment
  • Guide Scrum Masters and developers through the requirements process
  • Maintain and prioritize Backlogs for one or more Scrum teams in Jira
  • Add backlog items as feedback is received
  • Assist Scrum teams in developing user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Review and accept completed work against defined acceptance criteria
  • Ensure teams work on the highest-value approved priorities while avoiding scope creep
  • Work with government stakeholders to advance new efforts through the requirements process
  • Assist the Chief Architect and Chief Engineer with Roadmap development and future program vision
  • Oversee projects to ensure successful completion and adherence to timelines
  • Monitor project progress and identify potential issues with the Scrum Master
  • Provide contract and government leadership visibility into team progress and impediments through CDRLs, KPIs, and other reporting
  • Complete safety, quality, procedure compliance, training, and emergency-response responsibilities as applicable

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Ability to clearly communicate, verbally and in writing, complex technical challenges and obstacles in a clear and direct manner
  • Previous experience supervising a team of developers and engineers in delivering new and updated software interfaces
  • Previous experience serving as a Product Owner or Product Manager
  • Experience utilizing SAFe or similar Agile methodologies
  • Grasp of authentication concepts, including OAuth, ABAC, and Zero Trust
  • Understanding of common imagery data types, including raster and vector
  • Active TS/SCI w/ Poly security clearance
  • Master’s degree with 8 years’ experience, bachelor’s degree with 12 years’ experience, associate's degree with 20 years’ experience, or a minimum of 25 years’ experience in a relevant field
  • Preferred: AI experience if applicable to the program
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner or SAFe Certification preferred
  • AWS certification(s) preferred
  • Familiarity with NGA requirements process, including RFCs
  • Strong grasp of Atlassian tool suite, specifically Confluence and Jira
  • Understanding of IC Releasability requirements and processes
  • Familiarity with AI/ML, preferably AWS SageMaker
