About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee product development from development through operational deployment
  • Guide Scrum Masters and developers through the requirements process
  • Maintain an organized Backlog and streamlined Roadmap for the GEODS program
  • Directly supervise the development team and coordinate with test, integration, and operations groups
  • Prioritize work for Scrum teams and maintain the team Backlog in Jira
  • Assist teams in developing user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Review and accept completed work against defined acceptance criteria
  • Ensure teams work on the highest-value approved priorities while avoiding scope creep
  • Work with the government to advance efforts through the requirements process
  • Assist the Chief Architect and Chief Engineer with Roadmap development and future program vision
  • Oversee projects for successful completion and adherence to timelines
  • Monitor progress and identify potential issues with the Scrum Master
  • Provide contract and government leadership visibility into team progress and impediments, including CDRLs and KPIs
  • Complete applicable safety, quality, procedure-compliance, training, and emergency-response responsibilities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Ability to clearly communicate, verbally and in writing, complex technical challenges and obstacles in a clear and direct manner
  • Previous experience supervising a team of developers and engineers in delivering new and updated software interfaces
  • Previous experience serving as a Product Owner or Product Manager
  • Experience utilizing SAFe or similar Agile methodologies
  • Experience with UI/UX testing & feedback incorporation/prioritization
  • Active TS/SCI w/ Poly security clearance
  • Master’s degree with 8 years’ experience, Bachelor’s degree with 12 years’ experience, Associate’s degree with 20 years’ experience, or a minimum of 25 years’ experience in a relevant field
  • Preferred: Database engineering experience
  • Preferred: Strong grasp of Atlassian tool suite, specifically Confluence and Jira
  • Preferred: Certified Scrum Product Owner or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Certification
  • Preferred: AWS cloud experience and certification(s)
  • Preferred: Familiarity with NGA requirements process, including RFCs
