About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support Project Managers with project planning, scheduling, cost estimates, specifications, requirements, deliverables, and team communications
  • Coordinate workflows with engineering teams and functional groups, including project accounting, project controls, and project administration
  • Track project progress, resource usage, estimates to complete, change requests, pricing, and client-side project tracking deliverables
  • Identify problem areas and recommend corrective actions
  • Support procurement activities, including supplier vetting, bidding, subcontract and vendor contracts, change orders, and supplier performance feedback
  • Interface with customers, internal resources, functional groups, project teams, and external suppliers
  • Assist in developing new business opportunities and gathering information for project estimates and planning
  • Support project and process quality audits and assist with non-conforming product disposition
  • Recommend process improvements and resolve project delivery issues using established solutions and procedures
  • Balance technical quality with cost and schedule requirements
  • Manage projects of limited scope within contractual cost and schedule requirements
  • Review documentation and deliverables for quality and quantity
  • Work independently with guidance in complex or technical situations while meeting deadlines, priorities, and authority limits

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • US citizenship is required
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
  • Minimum of 5 years of technical project experience, such as engineering or construction
  • Advanced degrees may substitute for years of engineering experience
  • Demonstrated performance on assignments of increasing responsibility
  • Comprehensive expertise in capital expenditure project processes and organizational management, including marketing, design, procurement, fabrication and installation, and turnover processes
  • Familiarity with project scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project
  • Familiarity with procurement processes and project management tools
  • Strong communication skills, both in person and virtually through platforms such as Microsoft Teams
  • Preferred: familiarity with contracting specification processes and assembling procurement packages based on AIA MasterSpec or USG SpecsIntact
  • Preferred: familiarity with financial/procurement systems such as PeopleSoft
