About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform entry-level engineering work activities and projects under an assigned supervisor
  • Apply engineering knowledge to accomplish assigned objectives safely, effectively, efficiently, and economically
  • Apply theory to solve well-defined problems and provide analysis with guidance from higher-level engineers
  • Assist higher-level engineers with portions of complex problems and analyses
  • Coordinate routine engineering work activities of others as required
  • Contribute to project planning, scheduling, budget, cost estimates, and project-status monitoring
  • Perform analysis to resolve routine technical problems and propose new ideas and approaches
  • Assist with reports and technical papers
  • Communicate technical information and collaborate with engineering teams
  • Make routine decisions under guidance and contribute to team decision-making
  • Apply economic analysis techniques and support reliable electricity delivery at competitive cost

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program
  • New graduate / entry-level qualification
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology satisfies the degree requirement only with a certified Professional Engineering (PE) license
  • Passing the Fundamentals of Engineering examination is encouraged and preferred
  • Familiarity with engineering standards, codes, regulations, equipment, materials, systems, and business processes
  • This position does not offer visa sponsorship
  • Not eligible for Optional Practical Training (OPT)
