Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform intermediate-level engineering work activities and projects
  • Apply engineering knowledge to accomplish assigned objectives safely, effectively, efficiently, and economically
  • Apply analytical techniques to solve diverse problems and complete extensive analysis
  • Analyze systems and component equipment interrelationships
  • Coordinate work activities of others within the work group, department, or corporate entity

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited engineering program
  • Two or more years of related engineering experience
  • Master's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited engineering program may qualify for entry at this level
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering technology requires a certified Professional Engineering (PE) license
  • Alternatively, bachelor's degree in non-ABET engineering plus a master's degree or PhD in engineering from a university with an ABET-accredited bachelor's program
  • Ability to travel within the assigned territory
  • Knowledge of engineering theory and analytical techniques
  • Ability to analyze and recommend business process enhancements
  • Knowledge of scheduling techniques such as CPM, PERT, and flow charts
  • Ability to prepare and present technical reports
  • Understanding of budgeting, approval processes, utility regulation, and financing
