About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform entry-level engineering work activities and projects under an assigned supervisor
  • Apply engineering theory to solve well-defined problems and provide analysis with guidance from higher-level engineers
  • Assist higher-level engineers with defined portions of complex problems and analyses
  • Apply relevant standards, codes, regulations, equipment, materials, systems, and business processes
  • Coordinate others’ work activities to resolve routine engineering tasks
  • Contribute to routine project planning, scheduling, budgeting, cost estimates, and project status monitoring
  • Analyze and resolve routine technical problems
  • Prepare reports and technical papers
  • Communicate technical information and participate in team decision-making
  • Support reliable electricity delivery while protecting and enhancing the environment

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program
  • New graduate / entry-level candidate
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology may satisfy the degree requirement if the candidate obtains a certified Professional Engineering (PE) license
  • Passing the Fundamentals of Engineering examination is encouraged and preferred
  • No visa sponsorship
  • Not eligible for Optional Practical Training (OPT)
