About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Operate assigned OPCO storerooms and laydown yards safely
  • Ensure material, supplies, and equipment needs of Business Unit Partners are met
  • Supervise personnel and staff augmentation employees
  • Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley guidelines, laydown yard procedures, and Supply Chain policies are understood and followed
  • Conduct or assist with annual site assessments
  • Collaborate with Safety, Environmental, Engineering, Real Estate, Workplace Services, Procurement, Accounts Payable, and Project Management groups
  • Maintain adequate inventories for Business Unit Partners
  • Coordinate shipments and deliveries, process electronic transactions, and assist with loading, unloading, and staging materials
  • Coordinate cycle inventories, resolve discrepancies, and maintain records
  • Recommend improvements to the safety, operation, and utilization of storerooms and laydown yards
  • Monitor expenses and maintain cost-efficient operations
  • Ensure Lean and 6S practices are followed
  • Direct use of materials management systems, computer hardware, and software
  • Ensure proper contracting procedures for vendors and service providers
  • Identify training opportunities and support safety programs
  • Support compliance with corporate and departmental policies and procedures
  • Support employees’ training needs and development
  • Administer Performance Management Review and Salary Administration programs and Management Information and Policy Manual
  • Promote and enforce Accident Prevention and Safety and Health programs
  • Carry out Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action obligations
  • Assume other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate's degree in business administration or relevant supply chain operations discipline and two years of supply chain operations experience, including at least one year of supervisory experience
  • OR five years of supply chain-related experience if no degree, including at least one year of supervisory experience
  • At least one year of supervisory experience as a Stores Supervisor is preferred
  • Good working knowledge of practices and procedures for receiving, issuing, and storing materials
  • Ability and knowledge to work effectively with other company departments
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise employees, coordinate their work, and receive, interpret, and provide direction
  • Ability to lead in a manner that obtains effective work results
  • Must be available 24 X 7 to support emergency outage restoration efforts
