Key responsibilities & impact

Design and implement security solutions and advanced security architectures for operational technology systems
Lead security projects, security incident response efforts, and investigations
Administer and support Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers and related infrastructure
Install, configure, and maintain Prometheus for system and application monitoring
Develop and manage alerting rules, dashboards, and reporting
Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity trends
Troubleshoot Linux OS, services, networking, and monitoring issues
Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and security teams to support production environments
Perform patching, upgrades, and routine maintenance on Linux systems
Automate tasks using Bash, Python, or similar scripting tools
Document security systems, projects, configurations, and operational support processes
Support incident response and root cause analysis for outages or performance events
Develop and deliver training on OT security best practices
Present security topics and recommendations to team members and AEP leaders
Manage vulnerability management, patch management, Active Directory administration, antivirus and endpoint security, firewall ACLs, encryption and certificate management, security logging and alerting, and access/password management
Complete tasks with consideration for risk and impact to SCADA/EMS systems and the Bulk Electric System

What you’ll need

Minimum of an Associate’s degree in an applicable area OR high school diploma/GED and two (2) years of relevant experience in an applicable area or certification in an applicable area
Four (4) years of relevant experience in a related role, in addition to any experience included in education requirements
Applicable areas include IT/OT System Administration, IT/OT Application Support, Cyber Security, ADMS/DMS/EMS/OMS/SCADA
CISSP or other Security certification preferred
Strong technical knowledge of OT protocols and security technologies
Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
Experience with Prometheus monitoring systems
Over-time, on-call assignments, and occasional travel may be required
