About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Review project prints, including one-lines, schematics, bills of material, and equipment manufacturer drawings, to identify and gather Transmission asset information
- Review field-change drawings and document changes in the IPS asset management database
- Coordinate print management through DSTrack and follow up on overdue records
- Create location hierarchies, add capital assets, and populate asset attributes in IPS
- Manage asset entry lifecycle using the Data Tracker database
- Read and interpret Spider Diagrams and complete element Bus/Branch reviews
- Review and correct Commissioning Actions assignments in IPS
- Review IPS Audit Trails and resolve data errors
- Provide process support, diagnosis, troubleshooting, tracking, and resolution for field questions
- Configure and release substation Capital Commissioning Checklists
- Develop process improvements and documentation
- Manage IPS asset data, testing documentation, asset statuses, GPS, and address information
- Perform quality assurance of Transmission Field Services data and assist with CICO requests
- Use PowerBI to report on overdue settings and commissioning actions
- Senior-level responsibilities include peer review, team leadership, training, and supervision of less-experienced teammates
Requirements
What you’ll need- TFS Asset Analyst Associate: Minimum high school diploma or equivalent plus 2 years of data/record management experience; or an associate’s degree in electrical, electronic, civil, or mechanical engineering technology or related fields
- TFS Asset Analyst: Associate degree in electrical, electronic, civil, or mechanical engineering technology or related fields plus 2 years of related utility industry work experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and 4 years of related utility industry work experience
- TFS Asset Analyst Senior: Associate degree in electrical, electronic, civil, or mechanical engineering technology or related fields with a minimum of 4 years of related utility industry work experience; or high school diploma or GED with a minimum of 6 years of related utility industry work experience, including technical-knowledge work activities and projects
- Basic or working understanding of engineering schematics and one-line diagrams, depending on level
- Proficient in MS Excel, Visio, Outlook, and data entry
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Physical demand level is Sedentary
- Travel may be required
