About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Act as an associate coordinator reporting to a senior coordinator, principal coordinator, or superintendent
- Work independently when experience supports the activities
- Network throughout the system east and west to increase exposure and experience
- Participate in project development, resource allocation, and duration planning
- Provide guidance to supervision and craft personnel
- Assist in planning and developing work packages and outage plans with project leads and planners
- Increase technical knowledge and proficiency in inspection procedures and documentation
- Use visual examinations during required large steam turbine generator set overhauls
- Oversee data acquisition
- Communicate team goals and objectives
- Instruct craft personnel on proper techniques and procedures
- Maintain legacy turbine equipment
- For Turbine Coord Prin.: function as project manager, provide technical oversight, coordinate training, communicate with stakeholders, and execute complex projects
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate degree in a technical related field, or 6 years of turbine maintenance experience
- For Turbine Coord Sr.: 6 years of work-related experience in opening, inspecting, cleaning, and closing turbine generator sets
- For Turbine Coord Prin.: 12 years of work-related experience in power plant projects involving opening, inspecting, cleaning, and closing turbine/generator sets, project field work activities, or plant operations; or equivalent education/work experience
- Fundamental understanding of turbine and generator sets
- Understanding of component descriptions and data acquisition
- Understanding of QA, QC, FME, documentation, protocols, and programs
- Ability to instruct craft personnel on proper techniques and procedures
- Experience with legacy equipment such as GE, Westinghouse, and ABB
- Combustion turbine experience
- Ability to understand and participate in project development, resource allocation, and duration expectations
- Ability to work safely and follow directions
- Familiarity with Work Management System, Passport, Turbine Tool, and Business Objects
- For Turbine Coord Prin.: ability to function as a project manager and provide technical oversight
- For Turbine Coord Prin.: ability to manage complex problems and recommend solutions
