About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Participate in a 10–14 week summer internship from mid-May through August
  • Partner with business stakeholders and technology teams to understand business needs and project goals
  • Gather, document, and clarify requirements for enhancements and system improvements
  • Act as a liaison between business partners and software development teams
  • Assist with maintaining and updating systems, applications, and documentation
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement
  • Support testing efforts and validate that solutions meet business requirements
  • Work with experienced Java developers to learn how enterprise applications are designed, built, and supported
  • Contribute to project work impacting business outcomes
  • Gain exposure to AI-enabled development tools and emerging technologies, including Claude Code
  • Work closely with stakeholders, software developers, and Scrum team members to deliver technology solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support, or service
  • Must be currently seeking a baccalaureate, masters, or doctoral degree and be enrolled in an accredited college or university on a full-time basis or as required by the university's co-op program
  • Must have achieved 24 semester hours of academic credit before beginning the first work term
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Management Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Up to 10% travel
  • Sponsorship will not be considered for this position unless specified in the posting
  • Offer is contingent on applicable background checks
  • Offer is contingent on signing a non-disclosure agreement for proprietary information, trade secrets, and inventions
  • Work that primarily involves sitting/standing
