About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Join a collaborative analytics team focused on transforming data into actionable business insights for strategic decision-making across American Family Insurance
- Report to a Data Analytics leader
- Collect, aggregate, analyze, and interpret data from multiple internal and external sources
- Develop actionable reports, dashboards, key performance indicators, trend analyses, and root cause analyses
- Identify trends, business opportunities, operational improvement areas, costs, risks, and profits
- Use analytics and metrics to improve processes and provide data-driven forecasts
- Communicate findings and insights to stakeholders and support business strategy recommendations
- Complete other assignments or participate in projects based on skills, achievements, or experience
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be in student status at an accredited 4-year college or university during the internship, graduating August 2027 or later
- Must be pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD
- Major/program must align with the internship role
- Experience with Microsoft Office preferred
- Experience with SQL preferred
- Ability to perform basic math calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) and basic statistics
- Ability to provide oral and written communication regarding product development issues to various departments and levels of management
- Offer contingent on applicable background checks
- Offer contingent on signing a non-disclosure agreement for proprietary information, trade secrets, and inventions
- Sponsorship will not be considered unless specified in the posting
