Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining strategies to meet organizational objectives
  • Work under the direction of a senior-level employee or manager on projects supporting business-area goals
  • Develop an understanding of the organization’s business environment, corporate culture, and structure
  • Support and plan small projects with management direction
  • Work alongside department professionals and potentially assume departmental duties
  • Present project results to management and/or department personnel
  • Perform analytical work within the assigned functional area
  • Participate in projects related to application support, IT operations, business systems, process improvement, or technology initiatives
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Currently seeking a bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree and enrolled full-time in an accredited college or university, or as required by the university's co-op program
  • Must have achieved 24 semester hours of academic credit before beginning the first work term
  • Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support, or service
  • Coursework, academic projects, internships, or hands-on experience involving application support, software troubleshooting, IT support, systems administration, business applications, or related IT functions preferred
  • Preferred degree programs include Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related technical disciplines
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills preferred
  • Basic knowledge of software applications, operating systems, databases, or programming concepts preferred
  • Candidates must live within a 50-mile radius of the Madison, WI office
  • Must be able to report onsite with a minimum 10-day in-office attendance
  • Offer contingent on applicable background checks
  • Must sign a non-disclosure agreement
  • Sponsorship will not be considered unless specified in the posting
