About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Participate in a 10 to 14 week summer student internship program starting in mid-May and ending in August
  • Support the Media & Advertising team in evaluating marketing opportunities, optimizing campaign effectiveness, and identifying ways to grow the American Family Insurance brand and business
  • Support campaign planning, execution, and measurement with agency teams and internal stakeholders
  • Contribute creative ideas and strategic approaches in response to changing situations
  • Conduct market, consumer, and competitive research to identify growth opportunities and emerging trends
  • Assist with test-and-learn initiatives involving new media channels, partnerships, or marketing technologies
  • Analyze campaign performance data and develop recommendations to improve marketing effectiveness and ROI
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer acquisition, retention, cross-sell, and brand engagement
  • Develop an understanding of the business, corporate culture, and structure
  • Participate in networking, coaching, and exposure to different areas of the business

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Currently pursuing an MBA with a strong interest in building a post-MBA career in brand management, marketing, media, or advertising
  • Previous experience in marketing, brand management, advertising, media, or a related business function is preferred but not required
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data and insights into business recommendations
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, including the ability to develop clear, concise presentations for senior leaders
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment
  • Unable to consider candidates who may require visa sponsorship
