About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as a primary analytics partner to Product Management
  • Deliver state-level performance monitoring, root cause analysis, executive reporting, competitive intelligence insights, and business recommendations
  • Support Product Analytics objectives around competitive intelligence integration, automation, and AI-enabled analytics
  • Provide analysis, insights, and recommendations to leadership and management for profit and growth plan execution
  • Develop reports and analyses and recommend strategies for product development, product enhancement, product language, underwriting guidelines, processes, and channel-specific business practices
  • Analyze information, identify root causes, and present opportunities to improve products, business practices, and procedures
  • Monitor product effectiveness and recommend changes or enhancements based on performance, customer, market, and competitive results
  • Analyze data to formulate and execute operational plans
  • Independently manage routine analysis and partner on more complex work
  • Support pricing activities related to rate reviews, profit and loss ratio-based reviews, experience rating programs, post-implementation monitoring, or product and underwriting actions
  • Research competitor activity and marketplace trends supporting growth and long-term profitability
  • Translate business questions into analytical requirements, acquire or coordinate data, validate results, and communicate findings
  • Build working relationships with product, state management, pricing/actuarial, underwriting, claims, and other partners
  • Identify opportunities to improve, document, or automate recurring analysis and reporting processes
  • Report to the Sr. Manager, Product

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service
  • Demonstrated experience with PC software applications and Microsoft Office products
  • Experience with analytical or reporting tools used to organize, analyze, validate, and present data
  • Solid knowledge of insurance product design and underwriting concepts
  • Solid knowledge of market research and marketplace trends in insurance coverage
  • Basic knowledge of project management methodologies, metrics, practices, techniques and tools
  • Ability to independently manage timelines, dependencies, and stakeholder communication
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience investigating variances, validating results, and communicating recommendations
  • Ability to work independently on routine and moderately complex assignments and prioritize competing work
  • Experience with SQL or BigQuery, Excel, dashboard or visualization tools, PowerPoint, competitive-intelligence tools, or AI-assisted analytical workflows
  • Familiarity with personal lines products, product monitoring, rate reviews, root-cause analysis, or cost-benefit analysis
  • Must not require current or future sponsorship for this position
  • Successful completion of applicable background checks
  • Must sign a non-disclosure agreement
