About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support initiatives to identify, assess, manage, and report technology and cybersecurity risks
  • Assist with research, analysis, and documentation for cybersecurity, risk management, and compliance initiatives
  • Maintain and enhance the control repository, including control documentation, mapping, and reporting
  • Assist with policy and standards governance, including reviews, updates, tracking, and stakeholder coordination
  • Participate in risk and control assessments and support reporting efforts
  • Analyze risk, compliance, and control data to identify trends, develop metrics, and create management reports
  • Support regulatory and audit-related activities, including evidence collection, documentation reviews, and issue tracking
  • Collaborate with business and technology partners to gather information and support risk management initiatives
  • Track and report compliance obligations, risk remediation, and control improvement initiatives
  • Prepare presentations, summaries, and project updates
  • Participate in process improvement and identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and improved documentation
  • Present project results to management and department personnel
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must be in student status at an accredited 4-year college or university during the internship, graduating August 2027 or later
  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD
  • Major/program must align with the internship role
  • Preferred majors include Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Information Security, Risk Management, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Accounting, Finance, or related fields
  • Demonstrated analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with a variety of business and technology partners
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Interest in cybersecurity governance, risk management, compliance, audit, or related disciplines
  • Offer contingent on applicable background checks
  • Offer contingent on signing a non-disclosure agreement
  • Sponsorship will not be considered; candidates requiring visa sponsorship cannot be considered
