About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist with preparing, cleaning, validating, and documenting clinical, registry, and research datasets
  • Conduct descriptive and inferential statistical analyses under senior team guidance
  • Support study design, sample size and power considerations, statistical analysis plans, and interpretation of results
  • Develop and evaluate statistical models, including regression, survival analysis, longitudinal analysis, and mixed-effects models
  • Create reproducible analytical workflows using R, Python, SAS, or other approved statistical tools
  • Perform quality-control reviews of data, code, tables, figures, and analytical outputs
  • Produce tables, figures, data visualizations, and summaries for scientific and business audiences
  • Contribute to literature reviews, manuscripts, abstracts, conference materials, and presentations
  • Participate in team meetings, code reviews, documentation activities, and research best practices
  • Collaborate with biostatisticians, data scientists, clinicians, and research partners to support study design, analysis, interpretation, and scientific communication

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Currently pursuing an MS or PhD degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, Epidemiology, Public Health, Data Science, or a related quantitative field
  • Foundational knowledge of statistical methods, research design, and interpretation of quantitative findings
  • Experience with statistical programming in R
  • Experience working with healthcare, clinical, cardiovascular, registry, or population health data
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills
  • Commitment to reproducible research, data quality, and clear documentation
  • Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with technical and non-technical colleagues
  • Coursework or applied experience in regression modeling, survival analysis, longitudinal data analysis, causal inference, clinical trials, or observational research
  • Ability to communicate project details to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment managing multiple priorities involving multiple entities
  • Intermediate to excellent proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Reliable WiFi connection
  • Minimum availability of 20 hours per week, Monday-Friday between 8:30am and 5:00pm
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship, now or in the future
  • For remote work, work must be performed inside the United States, not in a foreign country
  • Additional experience in Python or SAS is a plus
  • Familiarity with AI/ML/LLM is preferred
  • Experience creating publication-ready tables and figures or contributing to scientific writing is preferred
  • Familiarity with version control, code review, or reproducible workflow practices is preferred
