About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist with planning, coordinating, and executing pre-event logistics and on-site event management for multiple community events
  • Conduct pre-event outreach to event attendees to support participation
  • Assist with sponsor presentation preparation
  • Gather materials for sponsor follow-up after meetings
  • Help maintain relationships with key stakeholders
  • Assist with pulling reports, data entry, and organizing event-related information
  • Prepare printed materials and assemble thank-you cards
  • Organize event supplies
  • Support planning and execution of Hands-Only CPR demonstrations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Candidates who are seniors or graduate students pursuing a degree in business, communications, public relations, nonprofit fundraising, or event management
  • Experience or interest in promotion, sales, or fundraising
  • Demonstrated excellence in written communication skills
  • Effective one-on-one and group communication skills
  • Comfort working professionally with community leaders, volunteers, and staff
  • Effective oral and presentation communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Intermediate to excellent proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Basic knowledge of Canva
  • Reliable WiFi connection and reliable transportation
  • Minimum availability of 20 hours per week, Monday–Friday between 8:30am and 5:00pm
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship, now or in the future
  • Remote work must be performed inside the United States
