About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Evaluate and grade JLE assignments, including Knowledge Checks, Midterms, Final Exams and Extra Credit, within designated timeframes or deadlines
- Provide clear and constructive feedback to students based on provided rubrics and grading guidelines
- Maintain consistency and fairness in the grading process
- Ensure student confidentiality and adhere to academic integrity and AI-related policies
- Participate in monthly meetings with JLE Administrators and Faculty regarding grading issues, students-at-risk, or unclear submissions
- Prepare a year-end report covering overarching themes in student work, recurring questions or concerns, curriculum modification suggestions, and other relevant data or feedback
- Support the faculty, facilitators, and administrators of the Jewish Learning Experience
Requirements
What you’ll need- A bachelor's degree in Judaic studies or other related area from an accredited institution
- Prior experience grading or tutoring
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated strong written and communication skills
- Experience with online learning platforms
- Experience with Canvas by Instructure is preferred
- Prior teaching experience is highly preferred
