About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design and build agentic AI applications for multi-step tasks with explicit tool boundaries, permissions, and safety controls
  • Build and maintain end-to-end RAG solutions covering ingestion, embeddings, retrieval, and generation
  • Define quality metrics for agents and retrieval, and iterate based on results
  • Integrate tools and data sources via MCP or similar standard interfaces
  • Deliver Angular/Node interfaces and APIs for business teams
  • Deploy and operate AI services on AWS, including Lambda and ECS/EKS, with logging, monitoring, error handling, retries, fallbacks, and guardrails
  • Identify repetitive processes and deliver AI-driven workflow automation integrated with enterprise systems and platforms
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for architectures, interfaces, evaluation approaches, and operational runbooks
  • Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to translate workflows into scoped deliverables and validate measurable outcomes
  • Advise stakeholders on improving operational efficiency through agentic workflows and RAG-enabled automation
  • Research and recommend emerging AI tooling, evaluation methods, and responsible AI practices
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent practical experience considered
  • 5–10 years of software engineering experience
  • 1 to 2 years of experience building production-grade Generative AI solutions
  • Hands-on experience taking agentic applications and RAG systems to production
  • Deep expertise in at least one of agentic applications or RAG systems and solid working knowledge of the other
  • Experience building and shipping production services and APIs on AWS
  • Full-stack delivery experience using Angular and Node/TypeScript
  • Familiarity with CI/CD and operational practices including automated builds/releases, monitoring, and alerting
  • Advanced Python for backend/AI service development
  • Practical experience with at least one agent framework, such as LangChain, LangGraph, or CrewAI
  • Experience with safe tool-calling design, including tool boundaries, permissions, and validation
  • Understanding of RAG, including chunking, embeddings, retrieval, and basic reranking
  • Experience with at least one vector store, such as OpenSearch, Pinecone, or pgvector
  • Ability to evaluate and improve AI systems using practical quality signals and identify regressions
  • Working knowledge of AWS deployment using serverless and/or containers
  • Familiarity with responsible/secure AI basics, least privilege, data access controls, and guardrails
  • Git-based source control and CI/CD experience with reliable release and rollback practices
  • Clear communication and collaborative, delivery-oriented mindset
  • Ability to successfully complete a background check
