About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Create, implement, and oversee direct mail and telemarketing fundraising efforts to meet membership revenue goals
  • Collaborate with the fundraising team to align multichannel fundraising activities with department strategies
  • Support day-to-day direct mail and telemarketing activities, including writing vendor copy and scripts, preparing data files, reviewing and approving proofs, and managing response-tracking subsources
  • Perform data pulls and accurate subsource coding for tracking results and benchmark reporting
  • Monitor active campaigns, respond to issues, and track deadlines and goals
  • Track campaign revenue and budget spending
  • Run quarterly campaigns and monthly renewals for direct mail and telemarketing
  • Coordinate with vendors through check-ins, deadlines, approvals, contract updates, invoices, and inventory monitoring
  • Work with the Director of Membership to approve campaigns and strategy
  • Perform other membership support duties as priorities and available hours permit

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of related experience in a complex, data-intensive operational or analytical environment
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Experience with retention, loyalty, or membership marketing
  • Data-driven decision-making and ability to adapt based on new information
  • Strong collaboration, prioritization, and clear and consistent communication skills
  • Experience budgeting, forecasting, and analyzing campaigns
  • Working knowledge of databases and financial systems
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Word, Excel, and Salesforce
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a highly deadline-driven environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; employment visa sponsorship is unavailable
  • Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to manage some work outside standard office hours as needed
