About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide oversight of Risk Management Framework processes through eMASS administration and daily cybersecurity operations
  • Ensure compliance with DoD directives throughout the MCU environment
  • Author security assessment reports, System Security Plans, and Risk Assessment Reports for multiple ATO packages in eMASS
  • Use eMASS to manage the authorization lifecycle
  • Upload and maintain RMF artifacts and develop SOPs and security-related diagrams
  • Maintain ATO packages and ensure deadlines are met for submission and renewal
  • Collaborate with system owners, ISSMs, and technical teams on documentation and compliance
  • Perform basic system configuration, patch management, and technical troubleshooting as needed
  • Lead training initiatives on RMF processes, security tool administration, and incident response protocols

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Active DoD Interim Secret or Secret Clearance required
  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in federal cybersecurity environments
  • At least 4 years’ experience managing complex DoD information systems and RMF processes
  • IAT Level III security certification such as CISSP, CASP+ CE, or CISM required
  • Strong proficiency with RMF processes, including SSP development, CCB implementation, and COOP documentation
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Leadership experience managing technical teams or projects
  • Knowledge of NIST 800-53 security control families, ACAS, DoD STIGs, continuous monitoring, FedRAMP, FISMA, and DoD Instruction DoDI 8500.01 and 01 requirements
  • Experience with vulnerability management systems, eMASS, and automated compliance reporting platforms used in DoD RMF implementations
