About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide installation, configuration, maintenance, sustainment, operational support, monitoring, and administration of audiovisual and VTC equipment and events
- Operate, facilitate, and support complex audiovisual systems in MCU auditoriums and classrooms
- Configure, support, and troubleshoot audiovisual, computer, VTC, and smart board equipment
- Arrange and provide real-time on-site support for VTC sessions
- Set up, initiate, and conduct operational checks for briefings and video conferences
- Instruct MCU personnel on proper VTC system operation and physically set up classrooms when required
- Respond to customer trouble calls and track tickets in IT/AV tracking software
- Collect customer requirements and support high-level events, venue rehearsals, and coordination
- Provide tier 3 support for MCU AV/VTC systems and auditorium production equipment
- Code, configure, manage, and install AV systems and related switching, VTC, camera, audio, and video equipment
- Operate, configure, and troubleshoot smart board/MondoPad systems, including imaging and MCU network connections
- Coordinate with the IA Task Lead to incorporate IA controls into network and data center design and provide information security for MCU networks
- Monitor equipment maintenance and repairs, including battery replacement
- Monitor software updates for InFocus MondoPads and Microsoft Office across classrooms and conference rooms
- Communicate with MCU IET Helpdesk Support and Student/Faculty regarding AV and VTC issues
- Assist team members to provide customer support
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must hold active DOD Interim Secret or Secret Clearance
- DOD 8570 IAT Level II Certification required (GSEC, GICSP, CND, CySA+, Security+ CE, SSCP or CCNA-Security)
- Knowledge and experience operating digital audiovisual systems such as Haivision, V-Brick, AMX, and Cisco
- Knowledge and experience configuring VTC systems and maintaining connectivity with other VTC sites
- Ability to provide audiovisual system operational coverage outside normal working hours and surge support during event saturation
- Knowledge and understanding of the technology industry
- Experience with Microsoft Office Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and delegate effectively
- Ability to solve problems and translate policies into daily routine operations
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Keen attention to detail
- Weekend or after-hours support may be required on occasion
