About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Administer and sustain mission-data and database services supporting Red LAN applications
- Manage data storage, data integrity, access controls, backups, performance, and recovery
- Support schema/data validation, structured-data handling, data transformation, and interface dependencies for Bifrost, customer additions, and approved mission-data changes
- Conduct performance tuning of indexes and databases
- Review database design and system integration
- Provide backup recovery and recommend enhancements and improvements
- Maintain security and integrity controls
- Formulate and monitor database management policies, procedures, and standards
- Develop stored procedures and/or triggers as needed
- Audit, modify, and amend data using SQL commands
- Oversee database projects, transaction log backups, notifications, and replication between SQL Servers and remote sites
- Review technical designs, reports, documentation, and materials produced by staff
- Create and maintain high-level reporting systems
- Research and implement new database and online technology
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree
- 5-7 years of related work experience
- U.S. Citizenship
- Active TS/SCI Clearance
- Experience administering and sustaining database services
- Knowledge of SQL commands, stored procedures, and triggers
- Experience with database performance tuning, backups, recovery, replication, and security/integrity controls
- Experience administering a variety of database systems
- Ability to develop and enforce database administration and user standards and procedures
