About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop, and implement data collection strategies for testing activities within the Flight Loads Laboratory
- Support all phases of test execution, primarily focusing on data acquisition and data handling systems
- Perform safety-monitor and other technician-level duties as required
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and system-level issues
- Develop and execute systematic fault-isolation plans
- Perform operational integration and interface verification checks
- Support IT security compliance and continuous improvement, including software maintenance, system updates, data archiving, and data recovery
- Collaborate with test engineers to configure and verify test systems for assigned test campaigns
- Perform work according to NASA ISO AS9100 quality management procedures and applicable regulatory requirements
- Follow applicable safety practices, rules, and requirements
- Provide standardized status reports to the Senior Technical Lead and/or Functional Area Lead
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Must successfully pass drug testing requirements
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain security clearance
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to established safe work practices and standards
- Ability to interact with customers, clients, coworkers, and management, including negotiating, instructing, supervising, persuading, or presenting information
- Ability to work under supervision and respond appropriately to supervisory guidance and constructive feedback
- Ability to work core hours of 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with flexibility based on workload and operational needs
- Regular and reliable attendance
- Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly
- Some local and long-distance travel may be required
- Ability to support a temporary 6-month position, with possibility of extension
