About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide technical and programmatic Information Assurance Services to internal and external customers supporting network and information security systems
- Design, develop, and implement security requirements within business processes
- Prepare customer documentation using accepted guidelines such as DITSCAP
- Prepare Security Test and Evaluation plans
- Support certification and accreditation through security and contingency plans and complex risk and vulnerability assessments
- Analyze policies and procedures against Federal laws and regulations and recommend gap closures
- Develop and complete system security and contingency plans
- Recommend system enhancements to address security deficiencies
- Develop, test, and integrate computer and network security tools
- Secure system configurations, install security tools, scan systems for compliance, report results, and evaluate products and system administration aspects
- Conduct security program audits and develop risk-reduction solutions
- Develop strategies for privacy, risk management, and e-authentication compliance
- Support security architecture development and implementation for evolving requirements
- Evaluate, develop, and enhance security requirements, policies, and tools
- Assist with computer incident investigations
- Perform vulnerability assessments and develop risk mitigation strategies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security or a related field
- 1 - 2 years of related work experience
- Ability to obtain a Secret level clearance
- U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance
- Ability to perform Information Assurance / Security Engineering duties
- Knowledge of DITSCAP guidelines, Federal laws and regulations, privacy, risk management, and e-authentication requirements
- Experience with security and contingency plans, certification and accreditation, risk and vulnerability assessments, security architectures, security tools, system administration, audits, and incident investigations
