About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct static analyses of mechanical structures
- Assist the Design Team with material selection
- Conduct Quality Assurance reviews of design and engineering products
- Interface with customers and government sponsors
- Work daily with onsite government Engineers and Project Managers to ensure information is technically accurate
- Develop project schedules
- Create technical reports and whitepapers
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, civil or structural engineering
- Ability to maintain a DOD Secret Clearance
- U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance
- Physically capable to conduct ship checks on United States Nuclear Submarines
- Comfortable in relatively confined spaces
- Capable of climbing vertical ladders (20’–25’) within the submarine
- At least two (2) years business experience in general engineering
- Experience working with SOLIDWORKS
- Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience working with Visio Diagram/Flowchart Software
