About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Understand Department of War land systems architectures, emerging capabilities, and technologies
- Engage with land acquisition programs, prototyping efforts, and concepts
- Provide independent analysis of program status, technological maturation, and risk areas
- Analyze programs and characterize risk tied to acquisition milestones
- Collaborate with land programs to understand program plans, acquisition plans, technical approach and maturity, schedules, and risks
- Present program status to Office of the Undersecretary of War (Research and Engineering) leadership
- Communicate program status, issues, risks, and plans to executive leadership in narrative, briefing, and oral form
- Evaluate technology and engineering capabilities central to land programs and their impact on the Joint Warfighter
- Independently develop expertise on programs and technologies
- Develop and execute tailored plans to facilitate DTE&A engagement
- Apply best practices from across DTE&A
- Integrate program analysis into the overall team view of Department of War systems
Requirements
What you’ll need- 11+ years of experience with a bachelor's degree required; master's preferred
- Secret clearance required
- Experience with emerging land systems and innovative capabilities
- Experience with both Department of War and commercial sectors
- Experience in one or more of Test and Evaluation (T&E), command and control, US Army Future Vertical Lift (FVL), XM-30 Combat Vehicle, or Future Long Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA)
- Army Evaluator familiar with the Army Evaluation Center (AEC) and U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC)
- Experience with Measures of Performance (MOP) / Measures of Effectiveness (MOE)
- Experience developing and/or reviewing Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMP)
- Digital Engineering (DE) tools experience desired
- Technical and test and evaluation experience
- Military Acquisition Professional qualification optional
