Key responsibilities & impact

Lead platform and infrastructure sustainment for Red LAN servers, virtualized services, operating environments, storage, accounts, patches, backups, restorations, and system configurations
Oversee maintenance execution and approved technical changes
Resolve escalated infrastructure issues
Ensure platform readiness supports availability, operational continuity, cybersecurity compliance, and engineering/test activity
Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems in coordination with network engineers
Monitor and manage CPU usage, disk usage, response times, and other system resources
Perform systems security administration, including creating user profiles and accounts
Set up administrator accounts, maintain system documentation, tune performance, install system-wide software, and allocate mass storage
Interact with users and evaluate vendor products
Recommend hardware and software purchases, coordinate installation, and provide backup recovery
Develop and monitor policies and standards for allocation and use of computing resources
May supervise less experienced staff
