About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide engineering solutions for various and unique problem sets and customers in a government software hosting facility
  • Deploy and maintain physical and virtual hardware infrastructure, including virtual machines and containers
  • Perform routine maintenance and configuration changes to physical and virtual hosts
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software on servers, workstations, and IT equipment
  • Maintain system backups and disaster recovery plans
  • Manage user accounts and permissions
  • Deploy and maintain software applications
  • Troubleshoot technical issues
  • Maintain knowledge base, incident response, system configuration, and other system administration documentation
  • Provide technical support and best-practice guidance to customers
  • Secure information systems and applications according to current DoD guidance
  • Maintain configuration and security posture through continuous monitoring and security event reporting
  • Participate in project planning using Agile methodology
  • Provide networking support for on-premises infrastructure

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret (interim to start)
  • CompTIA Sec+
  • Windows or Linux OS certification
  • At least 5+ years of experience
  • Risk Management Framework (RMF) compliance experience preferred
  • ACAS Operator and Supervisor Course completion preferred; certification must be within the 3 year active window
  • Familiarity with Veeam Backup
  • Familiarity with Windows 10-11
  • Familiarity with Windows Server 2016-2022
  • Familiarity with Linux (Red Hat)
  • Familiarity with VMware (ESXi, vSphere, VCF, vSAN, NSX)
