About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform detailed engineering for system sustainment and modifications
- Update technical baselines and maintain configuration data
- Conduct ICD/ICS/interface analysis, customer onboarding, requirements traceability, data-flow analysis, and dependency analysis
- Support Bifrost and CDS-related change packages, engineering documentation, test execution, and implementation activities under Senior Systems Engineer direction
- Support complex projects through design and project lifecycle management
- Apply engineering principles and methods to solve difficult technical problems with automated solutions
- Manage technical project risks using engineering, organizational studies, and project management processes and tools
- Design and prepare technical reports and related documentation, including charts and graphs
- Prepare and deliver presentations and briefings
- Translate high-level product development strategies into system requirement specifications
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop detailed lower-level requirements
- Participate in hardware and software component design reviews to ensure applicability and requirements traceability through verification and validation
- Generate system-level requirements verification procedures and customer acceptance test procedures
- Review test plans and procedures against contractual requirements and participate in testing to validate requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree
- 5-7 years of related work experience
- Active Top Secret Clearance
- US Citizenship
- Experience with system sustainment and modifications
- Experience with technical baseline updates, ICD/ICS/interface analysis, requirements traceability, data-flow and dependency analysis, and configuration-data maintenance
- Ability to support complex projects across the project life cycle
- Experience applying engineering, organizational studies, and project management work processes and tools to manage technical project risks
- Ability to prepare technical reports, documentation, charts, graphs, presentations, and briefings
- Experience translating product development strategies into system requirements and developing detailed requirements with multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Experience participating in hardware and software design reviews
- Experience generating system-level requirements verification procedures and customer acceptance test procedures
- Experience reviewing test plans and procedures and participating in testing
- Ability to work in Colorado Springs, Colorado
